The problem
- •Splitwise Free limits you to equal splits only — unequal / percent / shares are Pro-only.
- •No UPI integration. You have to copy an amount, open your UPI app, paste it, hit send, then come back to mark it settled.
- •No personal expense tracking — you need a second app for your own spending.
- •Hunting for a "Splitwise Pro coupon code" is a dead end. There isn't a public one; the ask has been ₹399/year consistently.
- •US-hosted. If you prefer your Indian financial data to live in India (DPDPA-aligned), there's no toggle for that.

FAQs
Is there really a free Splitwise Pro coupon?
Not that we're aware of. Splitwise has run occasional in-app offers but no public coupon code lives on the open internet. If Pro's main draw for you is unequal splits, Hisab Kitab gives you those for free with no coupon hunt.
Can I move my Splitwise data over?
Direct import is on our roadmap. Today you can CSV-export from Splitwise and email it to support@hisabkitab.space; we'll help bulk-import it. Going forward, settling with Hisab Kitab is faster thanks to UPI, so most users stop logging in Splitwise within a week.
Does Hisab Kitab support multi-currency?
No — INR only, intentionally. We're India-first and INR-exact (paise-level BigInt math). Multi-currency is on the roadmap but we'd rather do INR well than currency conversion poorly.
How is it free? What's the catch?
No catch. No ads, no data sale, no feature paywalls. If and when we add paid features (likely business/team workspaces), the current personal + friends + groups tier stays free for existing users forever.
Is Splitwise shutting down in India?
No, Splitwise is still available. We're not here to replace Splitwise globally — we're the better fit for Indian users specifically, where UPI, INR-first UX, and local hosting matter.
